PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

An elegant kitchen for inside - outside living in the former residence of English writer Aldous Huxley.

We were delighted to be involved in this excellent project within this historical West Hampstead  property. Mark Wojciechowski Architects were approached in early 2019 to design a replacement rear extension for this arts and crafts three storey family home that would be in keeping with the character of the original building and the surrounding streets.

The architectural design MWA created for this historical Edwardian house features handmade terracotta tiles in a geometric style to create a unique and playful statement for this property. Halcyon was pleased to be involved in the design of the kitchen for this beautiful and historical home, and an elegant kitchen ideal for inside-outside living and entertaining was exactly what was needed for this home.

Lava grey handleless wall units were chosen to extend right up to the ceiling, playing with the scale of the room and creating extra storage.   An oversized island wrapped in Staturio Bianco stone with a precise profile, completes the meticulous design.

The clean lines of the kitchen make a beautiful contrast to the external design, with refinement the order of the day in this graceful dwelling.
